Earlier this year we decided to select a manufacturer to work with so that we could offer disposable face masks to our business partners. The manufacturer that we selected has been in the medical device industry since 1988. All packaging and documentation are provided in accordance with the Medical Device Directive (93/42/EEC) including Directive 2007/47/EC. This manufacturer is approved to carry the CE Mark for disposable face masks Type I and Type II.
What exactly are Type II masks?
Type II refers to the bacterial filtration efficiency, a ‘Type II’ disposable face mask has a Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) of ≥98% and a ‘Type I’ disposable face mask has a Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) of ≥95%.
The manufacturer we have partnered with also manufactures Type I disposable face masks so we can also supply these as well, should this be preferred.
Minimum order quantities and packaging options.
For the flexibility of different packaging options the minimum order quantity is set at 200,000 face masks. Please view the different packaging options available for orders >200,000 face masks:
Option 1: One disposable face mask Type II individually packaged in a plastic zip-lock bag. Please note that the minimum order quantity for this specific packaging option is 200,000 face masks.
Option 2: Two disposable face masks Type II packaged in a plastic zip-lock bag. Please note that the minimum order quantity for this specific packaging option is 201,000 face masks
Option 3: Fifty disposable face masks Type II in a box. The face masks are packaged in a plastic bag inside the box. Please note that the minimum order quantity for this specific packaging option is 200,000 face masks.
*Type I disposable face masks can also be offered in the aforementioned packaging options.
